Katy Van Nostrand is an American landscape artist whose work celebrates the places that become part of who we are.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Katy spent nearly two decades as a registered nurse. That experience continues to shape her work. Both nursing and painting begin with careful observation, compassion, and the belief that focused attention can have a lasting impact.

After relocating from Colorado to Midcoast Maine with her husband and daughter, Katy found herself painting as a way of honoring both where she came from and where she is now. Her collections reflect a life lived outdoors-from alpine peaks and desert mesas to coastal forests and wild gardens.
